Disney’s theme parks are often called “The Happiest Places on Earth,” and this term isn’t being used sarcastically. The theme parks are full of thrill rides, fun attractions, giant mascots, and delicious food. If you’ve never been, or if it’s been a long time since you visited, you might be wondering whether it’s worth traveling to one of these parks as an adult.
The short answer, of course, is “yes”. Why? Let’s take a look.
There are many downright thrilling rides you can go on at every Disney park. From fast-moving roller coasters that take gravity-defying turns to classics like the Haunted Mansion, there are numerous exciting rides to go on even as an adult.
The cool thing about visiting these rides as an adult, by the way, is that you don’t have to worry about whether the rides are okay for kids. Between being tall enough to even ride the attractions in the first place, to the possibility that some kids are simply too scared to go on some rides, there are a lot of things that can stand between a family group and a thrilling ride.
There are some downright excellent restaurants found in Disney’s theme parks. When you work up an appetite running all over the park, finding the most fun rides to go on, you can always trust that you’ll be able to find a bite to eat somewhere nearby.
The parks are also outfitted with numerous fun shows. There are concerts, light shows, water-themed attractions, characters in costumes, and much more. If you’re a fan of pretty much any Disney property, you can find a show themed after one of your favorite things in these parks.
It’s pretty well-established that you normally can’t do everything in a Disney park in a single day. That’s where the resorts come in! Disney’s resorts are located close to the parks, and they typically have fun themes that make them feel right at home near the “magical” lands that you’re looking forward to spending time in.
For instance, if you’re a Star Wars fan, there’s a new resort opening soon that will be located close to Galaxy’s Edge. The resort hotel will feature in-universe Star Wars characters and a top-to-bottom themed experience that transports you to the world of the films. No matter what Disney property you like, the odds are good you can find a themed experience that will fit your tastes!
